The new space is equipped with two 20-ton overhead cranes, 10 meters of hall height, and wide access gates. It's designed to support auxiliary processes like storage, metalwork, tool shop, prefabrication, and welding. Thanks to this, we've freed up an additional 1,200 m² of net area for large-scale systems.
Today, the Nowina site offers 6,400 m² of production area and 1,000 m² of office and social space.
Since the launch of the facility, we’ve built 143 systems — including 120 in the new hall — for clients across Europe, Asia, and the Middle East. Our partners include GE, Siemens, and MAN. With over 185 systems in the current pipeline, we’re ready for more.
The Nowina team counts 150 employees, and we’re planning to grow to over 200 specialists.
This investment strengthens our ability to deliver world-class engineering solutions to clients around the globe.
The completion of installation is scheduled for 2025, and we’ll share more detailsabout the official opening date as soon as it is confirmed.
Prior to the installation, together with ORLEN S.A., GZOG Energy Sp. z o.o., and Maximator Hydrogen GmbH, we successfully carried out a FactoryAcceptance Test (FAT) at the production facility in Nordhausen. The test wascompleted with full success – both technically and operationally.

AQAP 2110 is an internationally recognized quality standard developed by NATO, tailored for suppliers in the defense sector. It integrates ISO 9001 requirements with additional provisions specific to the needs of defense-related projects and institutions. In today’s rapidly evolving business environment, this was a natural step forward for Rockfin — aimed at:️ enhancing the quality and reliability of our products and services; strengthening our cooperation with the defense sector and NATO-affiliated institutions; reinforcing our position both in domestic and international markets. The implementation process was both intense and rewarding. It involved analyzing and optimizing internal procedures, adapting documentation and workflows, and—most importantly—training and engaging our entire team. Thanks to this effort, we successfully passed a series of internal and external audits.
It was Michał Wróblewski Rockfin CEO , Tomasz Rynkowski CSO,and Kasjan Woźniak Director of Production Plant in Nowina who took a tour of our production hall with the Presidentand briefly explain what we usually workon in our factory.

ORC Technology as the Foundation of Collaboration
What is ORC Technology?
ORC (Organic Rankine Cycle) systems are advanced technologies that convert thermal energy into electricity using an organic working fluid. These cogeneration setups can simultaneously generate both electrical and thermal energy, significantly enhancing overall efficiency. Unlike traditional steam cycles, ORC systems operate effectively with medium- and low-temperature heat sources below 350°C, making them ideal for:
- Waste heat recovery in energy, heavy industry, and district heating,
- Renewable energy sources such as biomass, geothermal energy, and large-scale solar systems.
Rockfin and Siemens Energy Partnership
Rockfin and Siemens Energy have joined forces to implement ORC systems with electrical production capacities ranging from 0.5 to 3 MW.
In Poland, this technology is particularly important due to the European Emissions Trading System (ETS), where high CO₂ emission fees significantly impact energy costs. ORC systems provide an opportunity to reduce emissions and lower electricity production costs by converting waste heat from industrial processes into electricity.

Scope of the Partnership
The agreement between Rockfin and Siemens Energy clearly defines their roles:
- Rockfin: Responsible for the comprehensive design, delivery, and installation of turnkey ORC systems, ensuring smooth commissioning and testing.
- Siemens Energy: Supplies high-performance C-type turbines, bringing advanced thermodynamic expertise to maximize system efficiency.
- Joint Service Support: Both companies will provide service for the systems through a global service network covering Europe and beyond.
Target Markets and Potential Customers
Initially, the partnership will focus on European markets, where both companies have established operations. Future expansion plans include North America, South America, and Africa. The primary customers for ORC solutions include:
- Energy operators,
- Industrial power producers,
- District heating companies seeking waste heat utilization and greenhouse gas emission reduction.
Key Benefits of the Collaboration
The Rockfin and Siemens Energy partnership offers multiple advantages:
- Technology synergy: Combining expertise to develop cutting-edge energy solutions,
- Cost efficiency: Reducing energy costs through waste heat recovery,
- Sustainability: Supporting decarbonization efforts and a cleaner energy future.
By working together, Rockfin and Siemens Energy are driving a sustainable energy transformation, where efficient utilization of thermal energy will play a crucial role in the decarbonization of industries and economies worldwide.
